Before the Text has Arrived:
If there is a change to the required readings and the canceled text has not been shipped out by the supplier, there is no financial penalty to the program.
After the Text has Arrived:
If a text is canceled after our stock has arrived in the bookstore, but before students have been notified, the program is responsible for the shipping charges, both to campus and back to the supplier as well as any financial penalty the bookstore may incur for the return.
After Students have Received their Textbook Notice:
If a notice has been sent out and a text is canceled, the program is responsible for all charges incurred by the bookstore and students including:
Adding Texts to a Course After the Notice is Sent:
The Bookstore emails the program associate a draft copy of the notice and asks that they confirm the materials are complete and correct. Once the notice is sent, the students begin placing orders and they pay for shipping. If a program adds a text or readings package, students may be forced to pay double shipping fees through no fault of their own. We request that the program cover additional shipping charges as a goodwill gesture.
