Canadian copyright law allows in-person screening of legally acquired films for
educational purposes. The law allows RRU instructors and faculty to show these documentaries and feature films in the classroom as part of a course. Typically, screenings for entertainment purposes require permission.

If you are considering screening a film for an RRU class or event, please contact the Copyright Office.
Instructors may include embedded videos/links to videos from RRU collections as viewing materials in Moodle courses.
Copyright clearance for the use of videos in courses follows the same process as copyright clearance for course readings. Please review the Course Clearances for Instructors guide for more information or contact the Copyright Office for assistance.
