When the writing gets tough

Every writing project has its ups and downs. It may seem that you are experiencing very few ups and very, very many downs, which can be demotivating and very discouraging. The reasons for these feelings can be very real and  difficult to work around. For example, you may be tired, distracted, or under a lot of stress and pressure, and these external factors can make your writing process very difficult.

If you aren't sure why you are struggling with motivation, but are looking to better understand your own needs and challenges, please see Develop a Vision: Be of Good Heart and Mind in the Four Feathers Writing Guide and Staying Motivated. If you are looking for strategies to move forward when you feel stuck or can't focus, see Overcoming Writer's Block and Improving Focus.
