Ebooks: Downloading Ebook Central ebooks on a mobile device using BlueFire

Intro

September 24, 2014: The old ebary mobile apps are no longer supported.  Please visit the App Store or Google Play to download the Bluefire app for offline reading on iOS and Android devices.

Ebrary provides step-by-step directions on how to download their ebooks to a mobile device, here: http://support.ebrary.com/kb/download-device-nr/. On this page we provide step-by-step instructions with screenshots.

Step 1

  1. Begin at the RRU Library webpage and click on the Article Databases tab. Choose “E” and then the Ebrary link.
  2. Login using your RRU username and password.

Step 2

  1. On the Ebrary page, click on the “sign in” link to login to your ebrary account:

Here’s where you have some options, depending on your situation:

  • If you have never created a personal ebrary account, then you will need to click on the “create an account” link in the blue box area of this screenshot.
  • If you have created an ebrary account but either the login you created isn’t working or you can’t remember the login details, then click on the “request your password” link in the green box.
  • If you know your ebrary username and password and it works, enter the info in the red box.

 

Step 3

Once signed into your account, choose the dowload entire document option.

Step 4

Once you're logged into ebrary, there are three more steps:

STEP 1: Choose the device you want to download the ebook to.

STEP 2:  Download the Blufire Reader software for your mobile device.  You will be prompted to do so in Step 2.  If you already have this software installed, then continue to Step 3.

To view a downloaded Ebrary ebook on your mobile device you will need Bluefire Reader

STEP 3: Download your book
